TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT

There are two international airports in Istanbul: Ataturk Airport and Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Ataturk Airport is located on the European side and is closer to the downtown area. Sabiha Gökçen Airport is located on the Asian side and is about 40 km. from the city.

Getting to Istanbul from the airport:

By Taxi:
Taxis are available 24 hours a day. The fare from Atatürk Airport to a central location in the town will be approximately 50 TL ($25). The fare from Sabiha Gökçen to the European side will be around 100 TL ($50).

By Shuttle:
There are regular shuttle buses between both Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen Airports and Taksim (Downtown on the European side).
